Biography (个人简介)

He is a recipient of the National Overseas High-Level Talent Program, Distinguished Professor of the Chutian Scholars Program of Hubei Province, and an Outstanding Young Scientist of Hubei Province, as well as a principal investigator of a Major Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research focuses on core problems in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and intelligent unmanned systems, and their applications in photogrammetry and remote sensing. He worked at the National University of Singapore for 11 years, successively serving as Postdoctoral Fellow, Research Fellow, Research Scientist, and independent Principal Investigator. He has led more than 20 government-funded projects from China and Singapore and 6 industry–academia collaborative projects with multinational companies. He has received over ten major awards, including the Outstanding Young Scientist Award of the Asian Conference on Artificial Intelligence (NAAI), the Second Prize of the Military Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of the Guangdong Emergency and Safety Science and Technology Progress Award, the First Prize of the China Geomatics Science and Technology Progress Award, the Silver Medal of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, and the Second Prize of the Innovation Award of the China Invention Association. He has published over 110 papers, including 68 SCI-indexed articles in leading journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, IJCV, IEEE TIP, ISPRS JPRS, IEEE TGRS, IEEE ITS, CVPR, ECCV, ICRA, and IROS. He has supervised 4 postdoctoral fellows, 12 Ph.D. students, and 33 master’s students, whose teams have won world championships three times, more than 50 national competition awards, and over ten other major prizes. He has also served as an associate editor or editorial board member for two journals, an editor or program committee member and session chair for three international conferences, and has been invited to give more than ten keynote or invited talks. He maintains extensive international collaborations with leading research institutions worldwide.

国家海外高层次人才计划获得者,湖北省楚天学者特聘教授,湖北省杰出青年科学基金获得者,国家自然科学基金委重大项目课题负责人。长期从事人工智能、计算机视觉与智能无人系统核心问题及其在测绘遥感领域应用研究。曾在新加坡国立大学工作11年,历任博士后、博士后研究员、研究员及独立PI。主持中国、新加坡政府科研项目20余项及跨国公司合作项目6项,获NAAI亚洲人工智能大会卓越青年科学家奖、军事科学技术进步二等奖、陕西省科学技术进步二等奖、广东省应急与安全科技进步一等奖、中国地理信息科技进步一等奖、瑞士日内瓦国际发明展银奖、中国发明协会发明创业奖创新奖二等奖等10余项科技奖励。发表学术论文110余篇,其中SCI论文68篇,发表于IEEE TPAMI、IJCV、IEEE TIP、ISPRS JPRS、IEEE TGRS、IEEE ITS、CVPR、ECCV、ICRA、IROS等国际顶级期刊与会议。培养博士后4人、博士生12人、硕士生33人,指导学生获得世界级大赛冠军3次、国内赛事奖项50余次及其他重要奖项10余次。曾担任2个期刊编委、3个国际会议的编辑、程序委员会成员及分论坛主席,受邀作大会或特邀报告10余次,并与国内外多家科研机构保持长期稳定的合作关系。
